Scar Revisions – Acne scars, as well as scars from injury or previous trauma, can be surgically revised. Laser resurfacing, Vibradermabrasion, and Intense Pulsed Light treatments can improve the texture and contour of scars. Soft tissue fillers can raise depressed scars along with areas of volume loss.

Birthmarks – Vascular and pigmented birthmarks may sometimes need to be surgically excised, depending on the type and location. Lasers and intense pulsed light treatments may also be a first line treatment – only to be determined during your consultation.

Benign Skin Growths and Moles – Many need to be removed due to pain and irritation, suspicious changes, or cosmetic concerns. Dr. Brazil’s surgical expertise will help you obtain a less noticeable scar.

Cancerous Growths – Such as basal cell cancer, squamous cell cancer or malignant melanomas are treated in a variety of ways. Some need to be excised and Dr. Brazil is skilled in a variety of repairs to restore lost function and provide the best possible cosmetic outcome.  Non-surgical treatments like Aldara, an imiquimod cream, and the newest option for patient choice, convenience and efficacy, Brachytherapy, are also used when appropriate.

Most of these techniques were originated and developed by dermatologic surgeons. Dr. Brazil and his team of medical practitioners are the most qualified to choose which procedure is the best for your condition. Many techniques used by Dr. Brazil are minimally invasive and are performed in the office under local or regional anesthetic.
