Vasculite Laser Treatment
This technology selectively heats broken blood vessels at different depths under the skin with excellent results. Our experienced providers treat complex and interwoven networks of veins, vessels and webs of small capillaries with pinpoint control.
What is VascuLite Laser?
This unique laser technology uses light at a near infrared wavelength (Nd: YAG) or broad-band intense pulsed light (IPL) to produce effective long-lasting results to successfully “zap” large blood vessels up to 3 mm in diameter. With its proprietary Multiple Synchronized Pulsing capabilities, the laser selectively heats different sizes of broken blood vessels at different depths below the skin’s surface with excellent results. Our experienced providers treat complex and interwoven networks of veins, vessels and webs of small capillaries with pinpoint control. One to three laser pulses can achieve complete closure and sealing of the damaged vessels.
“Your positive reputation and my satisfaction is why I keep coming back for laser treatments to remove veins on my legs.”
— Olympic Dermatology VascuLite patient, March 2018
How Does it Work?
The non-invasive laser energy is absorbed by hemoglobin and converts to heat energy. Then the blood coagulates and the vessel collapses. Over time the vessel is reabsorbed naturally by the body and disappears, reducing the appearance of veins and redness in the skin. Prior to treatment the area is assessed for the type of vein or condition being treated, and its location on your body. Then a clear gel is placed on the site to be treated. This helps focus the light energy and cool the skin. The only sensation experienced during the treatment is a sting or a sharp pinch. By using ice and cold gel on the skin to be treated, discomfort is minimized.
What Are the Benefits?
- Reduces redness
- Diminishes veins and vascular lesions
- Can be combined with dual energy of IPL to maximize results
- Minimal discomfort during treatment
- Ability to treat many areas of the body including leg veins, cheek and nasal blood vessels
