What is Kybella?
An FDA-approved injectable treatment that improves moderate to severe submental fullness beneath the chin, or more commonly referred to as a “double chin.” Using a naturally-occurring substance it destroys fat cells under the chin to contour and improve your jawline and profile. A quick, non-surgical procedure that’s long lasting with high patient satisfaction results include a more defined jawline, reduced fat under the chin, and a slimmer neckline.
How Does it Work?
At each treatment, patients receive multiple tiny injections under the chin. The whole session lasts only 15 to 20 minutes. The exact number of injections will depend on the amount of fat under the chin and profile goals. Kybells destroys fat with a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. Fat cleared from the treatment area is processed through the body’s natural metabolism. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so it’s permanent.
What Can I Expect with a Kybella Treatment?
Before starting treatment in a free consultation our cosmetic provider will examine the area under and around your chin to determine if Kybella is right for you. If so, they’ll provide you with an individualized treatment plan to maximize results. Since everyone’s chin profile is different, the number of treatments varies from patient to patient. Each treatment is given at least 30 days apart, and many patients experience visible results in 2-4 months.
