Patients
usually have the procedure performed under a topical anesthesia
and if desired, an oral narcotic pain reliever. Some patients

been noted variability in patient response. Additional treatment(s) may be needed to achieve the desired improvements.
However, since benefits gradually appear over 4 to 6 months,
additional treatment(s) are not usually performed until 4 to 6
months after the initial procedure.
