As people age, they commonly notice sagging, uneven skin and prominent fat pads involving the arms, thighs, buttocks and abdomen. These problems are often resistant to aggressive dieting and exercise. The treatment of these problems is termed "body contouring", and it represents one of our specialties at Olympic Dermatology. Successful body contouring and shaping, without surgery, has not been a realistic option until now. Thermage technology utilizing this new 16.00 cm² tip is now used for tightening and recontouring the arms, hips, buttocks and abdomen. This device creates deeply penetrating radiofrequency waves. This energy safely heats fibrous tissues up to 2 inches below the skin surface, resulting in tightening and recontouring loose skin without surgery.
